Taiwan Village Restaurant (Chai Leng Park) Review

Whoever loves Stinky Tofu (臭豆腐) should visit this shop! Stinky Tofu is on of a specialty food in this shop! My colleague is a stinky tofu freak, eventually she drag me here to try it out... lol! This shop is located in Chai Leng Park behind the Chai Leng Park Food Street (喂食街). If you love stinky tofu, you can actually smell it once you walk into the shop...

Review:
Taste: No comment for the stinky tofu as I just feel moderate(doesn't like it but doesn't hate it either), but my colleague says it's good as very hard to find locally. As for the chicken nugget, it's salty and crispy and well marinated. Even big chunks also tasted good and tender, and won't feel hard. I personally like the beef noodle, as their beef is very soft and tender with the soup tasted just nice, not too salty. The Hot & Spicy noodle is also nice but their ingredients are mostly those steamboat ingredients. It gets spicier and spicier as you eat more and more... a little too spicy for me to finish. Their papaya milk tasted very mild, maybe because they used malaysia papaya instead of taiwan papaya? LOL, I am not sure as the papaya smell is kinda mild. The Jelly Milk Tea tasted differently from our local store bought type of bubble milk tea and theirs tasted more flavorful maybe because of the milk they use. Overall we are very satisfied with the taste. (7/10)
Service: When we arrive there are only 3 tables occupied with customers and we were given the menu as soon as we sit down. Lucky we arrive early and place order as soon as possible as I see only 3 person operating the shop, from taking orders, preparing and serving drinks and food. We waited nearly 30 mins for our food to arrive and my colleague at first thinking wanted to order extra stinky tofu but canceled the plan because since we waited so long for food to arrive, take away will need longer time as more customers came. (6/10)
Price Range: RM0.50 - Rm37.00
Notes:
~ Baby Chair available.
~ Parking by the road side and need to put MPSP coupon to avoid being fined.
~ This shop doesn't charged GST 6% or service charge on total bill.
~ Aircon concept but since we are eating hot noddle soup, we still sweat... because they have stinky tofu and it's a air-con concept, dine only if you like the smell. It is still acceptable for me as I am neutral towards stinky tofu.
