Lucky Delight Cafe 奇福美食 (Kota Permai Bukti Mertajam) Review

This small cafe is located in Taman Kota Permai and is normally full of diners during lunch time. I used to dine here few years back and their diners still as plentiful as it was few years back. I then took my colleague to try this cafe recently and she is a fan of it.

Review:
Taste: My colleague love their taste as it is closely tasted like home cooked food. Their braised pork trotter rice, their pork trotter tasted quite tender and it was not as stiff as expected, and we under estimate their normal looking tofu, which is very smooth and fresh. The minced pork rice tasted quite good but not available most of the time, as need to see if the chef is willing to cook. Their Oden was a little disappointing as the soup was very diluted with no taste. Their noddle portion is also a little less and a little dry, as we are expecting soup noodle, but their hot and spicy sauce was nice. Overall was ok, with just nice portion. We didn't feel thirsty after finishing the meal. (6/10)
Service: As due to only 4 person managing the cafe, I feel that they are kinda slow and it took them 30 min to serve us our food. And their menu is based on the chef's mood if she is wiling to cook if we ordered. We have to prepare several back up orders if what we want is not available, unless you just select what they have which need less preparation. The place is also fully packed most of the time, so need to expect to wait or to get a place to sit, then place order to the uncle who manages drinks. (6/10)
