Sometimes me and my colleague feels like not wanting to have meat and we wanted to eat some vegetarian meal, and we decided to dine at Violet Bamboo Vegetarian. The shop is located at Taman Desa Damai, Bukit Mertajam. We just dine in during lunch time. It wasn't packed and it's a little humid and hot as it's a closed area, as we expected the air-con will be operating. Their menu was simple and we ordered their specialty Fried Porridge and Fried mushroom rice. Let's look at their menu below:

Taste: Honestly, I don't really prefer Vegetarian food as I am a meat person, but I do love their food here. They taste quite delicious and kinda taste like using real meat! Surprisingly their fired porridge tasted like the real deal! The Fried Bailing Mushroom's texture really tasted similar to fried fish meat with sweet and sour sauce. Their laksa used seaweed to cook and has the texture of a real fish assam laksa as well. Their dry noodle also looks colorful and tasty with the fake char siew. Their signature tofu also tasted good. Overall we didn't feel thirsty after eating the meal. The meal portion also moderate and feel full. (7/10)
Service: As due to only a few person managing the cafe, it took them a while to serve our meal. They don't charge GST or service charge so the price on the menu is their final price. (6/10)
