My hubby took an offday on a weekday as my parents in law is not working. Since we had a driver (my husband), we plan on going to Serdang. Serdang is famous for "fried porridge" which is also known as 炒粥 (Char Moi in Hokkien). But we aren't going to eat there... just pay a visit to the God of Prosperity temple which rumored to be very "灵" (effective?)
From Bukit Mertajam to Serdang is about 41-48km We took the old road which is 44km |
We departed from Bukit Tengah using the old road up to Simpang Ampat. We pass by plantations and kampung areas to arrive at our destination. Of course it's my first time going and we have no clue where is it so we depended on Waze... I wonder how in the older days they navigate without signsboards and no smartphone!!! There is no signboard stating where is the temple. If we go by the old road from Nibong Tebal, then the temple will be on your left side. We didn't enter town yet. The name of the place in Google is 西岭财神爷庙, 09800 Serdang, Kedah, Malaysia.
The temple is on the left side if using the old road |
The temple doesn't look outstanding. But you can know it's a temple with the red lanterns and red color building.
Open for praying time 8am - 6pm |

Hope you guys will prosper after visiting this temple. Heng Ah! Ong Ah! Huat Ah!
Of course I didn't bet on lottery so I didn't win anything just memories and a short traveling trip.
