Wan Tan Mee @ Kedai Makanan Leng H'ng Bukit Mertajam

A few days ago when Jelly is playing and going through my wallet and my husband spotted that my driving license had expired! OMG, need to go and renew. It is Friday(29 Jan 2016) today and without thinking much, I fetch my MIL(mother-in-law) and little Jelly to Bukit Mertajam Post Office to renew my license... after lining up for 10min, I noticed they put up a note stating they can't renew driving license... Oh Dear... need to go to Seberang Jaya JPJ (Jabatan Perangkutan Jalan) to renew... I will do that on another day... LOL! Meanwhile my MIL also have some bills to pay so we waited for our number... after waited for almost an hour, bills had been settled and our tummies grumble...
While waiting in the post office,
Jelly couldn't stay still! Must move around.

My DIY Overnight Oats with simple Recipe

Recently I kept seeing friends posting their version of overnight oats and they got me drooling. Before trying overnight oats, I wasn't an oat lover... I dislike their blandness and their sticky-mud like texture. Then I do some research (of course asking Mr Google) and found out that Overnight Oats required rolled oats instead of quick oat or instant oat! Actually all are the same oats, just the thickness of the oats and the time used to cook the oats makes them being called with rolled, quick and instant. I had add one more variety which is steel cut oats.

Disposable Diaper Review (Mamy Poko Easy Fit Pants)

I had been keen on having Jelly to wear tape type of diapers until in November 2015 I noticed there is a PWP(purchase with purchase) offer for Mamy Poko pants. Since Jelly started moving around, I think might as well get a packet to try, since Mamy Poko is a well trusted brand by most parents. I bought the Mamy Poko Easy Fit Pants in Giant at RM23 for L38 (Price is cheaper due to PWP).

This post I will review on Mamy Poko Easy Fit Pants.

This is how the packaging looks like (mainly Yellow with a little Blue corners). Sorry for the crumble packaging as it is almost finished. The L size is suited for 9kg to 14kg. But still need to see the baby's backside and thigh.

Disposable Diaper review (Dry-Pro)

About a month ago when I was at a year end sale at Parkson Bandar Perda (Bukit Mertajam, Penang), I noticed a not so familiar diaper brand. Due to being greedy in the discount and cheap price, I then bought 2 packet of this Dry-Pro disposable diapers. The price tag was RM33.90 and buying 2 packets and above qualifies for 20% discount which I bought at RM27.12 each. Eventually cheaper than my trusted brand PETPET.

After buying two packet of this diaper only I asked a few mommy's comment on this brand. Their comment was “烂" which means bad... Before I test it on Jelly, I was scared and feeling terrible as I had just spend money on a brand which no mommy trust. I was thinking no wonder it was selling so cheap...

Without finishing my current packet of diapers, I eagerly open and test it on Jelly. Surprisingly Jelly didn't develop any rash from wearing it! And as I see the quality was also good compared to PetPet.

This post I will review on Dry-Pro.

DIY Sock Cat Pictorial

Sock doll are quite easy to make when you have the time. I had been in Pinterest and saw plenty of different sock doll which some required both side of the sock to make a doll. Some even suggest recycling a sock to make into a sock doll. I am kind of pantang (refrain) about giving my toddler a recycle sock to play with when her daddy has Hong Kong Feet, LOL!

Restoran Good Master Bak Kut Teh Review

Warning: This post of food is NON HALAL

It is a lovely Saturday, and normally I don't eat out, as my Mother In Law (MIL) will cook at home. Today she decided not to cook and we decide to eat out. Then we all agreed to take Bak Kut Teh.

Bak Kut means pork bones and Teh means tea. It is literally boiling herbs with pork bones (ribs). This Bak Kut Teh which I am reviewing is the Penang version. There are a lot of versions, example the Singapore version, Klang version and dried version.

This is how it looks like. It is normally served in claypot. This shop serves in S, M, L size. There are 4 of us so we ordered the Large one. In the pot normally will contain pork meat, ribs, intestines, meat ball, enoki and shiitake mushrooms and garnished with lettuce. We also like dipping in You Char Koay(fried dough) to soak up the soup and eat.
Everyone is hungry and they need to dig in before the camera

Disposable Diaper review (Petpet)

Many new parents pay alot of attention on baby's diapers especially disposable ones.
Sometimes I feel that disposable diapers are like underwear for babies...

There are many type of diapers sold, the washable ones and the disposable ones. I fully prefer the disposable ones over the traditional cloth type (some known as lampin). Reason being as that I may be lazy to wash and it is kinda disgusting to wash with poo in it... Disposable throwing away type is not so eco friendly but appear to be more breathable and gentle to baby's skin... so its up to the parents to decide...

Since Jelly was born, I had tried several diaper brands. Jelly's skin was not sensitive so most brands (tesco to mamypoko) she can wear without nappy rash. Until one day (around 4mo) she has nappy rash breakdowns! T_T

Since then most cheap brands appear to cause nappy rash for Jelly's beautiful backside...

This post I will review on PETPET.

This is how the outer packaging normally looks like (Orange). This is a M size which it suggested wearing for baby from 5kg to 11kg)

Why Chinese believes that babies below age of 1 cannot wear shoes

Before this, I am reluctant to bring Jelly outside before because she couldn't wear shoe before she reach the age of   1

It is a old people chinese believes that babies haven't reach the age of 1 must not wear shoe. I tried google but still no answer. The closest logical answer is that because shoe's sole and cover were stiff and hard so it will prevent the growing of their feet and they need to "feel" the surface to balance themselves. Since they can't stand stable or walk yet, might as well don't waste money on shoes... lol!

Anyway, Jelly's lunar birthday is on 14 December, so my parents in law let her wear shoes now!

This is her first shoe we bought in Jusco Alma costing RM15 (the color faded a little that's why it is at reduced price). Yup its a size 4 and yes she has a big feet... LOL!

New Start!

It's a New Year! I want to try something different!

Time flies and it is already 2016. Soon it will be Chinese New Year in a month time! I wish I had more time... everyone does right?

I want to try something different... after some persuasion and brainwashing from a blogger friend, I too wanna start to blog. My purpose of blogging is maybe to share some of my humble thoughts, may be some reviews and mostly about Jelly (my little girl princess).
