Eton Hotel (Georgetown Penang) Review

My brother wanted to spend more time in Penang island therefore he had booked a hotel for us to stay a night. Since it's a last minute thing, he just booked a room at Eton Hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 4pm to check in and we tour around a little of the place. Because of it's strategic location at town area, it is a little pricey with the product or services provide.

We parked at the lower ground of the building and it looks alike an office more than a hotel from the outside. They only have 6 parking spots in the building and a parking space opposite of the building. We paid RM 130 per night for a weekday stay. Let's see how the rooms looks like.

This is Room 1 at 6th floor. Because it has a window, so the room is kinda hot and the hotel only provides 1 key which each key is needed to activate the room's electricity (TV, kettle, and most importantly air-con!) I will not select the room on 6th floor with several reasons with a toddler.
1) Toddlers likes to play with the sliding door which connects to the toilet and shower room cubicle.
2) The bed is located at the center of the room, not close to the wall, I am scared Jelly will fell from the bed.

Toilet and shower room is separated with a sliding door
LCD TV
Kettle and FOC 2 bottle fo mineral water

This is the 2nd room which I selected to stay. Main reason being that it doesn't have a window so the room is not so hot. Their bed is also near and close to the wall so I won't be afraid if Jelly roll over or accidentally fell from the bed...
Waiting for the one and only lift at the hotel

Jelly want to experience pressing but she is too short!

Arrived at 2nd floor walk way to the room

Bed is close to the wall
(Need to push a little bit to close the gap)

They have TV, kettles, towel, 2 bottle FOC mineral water bottle and a bin

Cupboard is open style without doors
(It's a good thing so Jelly can't play with the cupboard)
Jelly on the other hand is testing the bed.. LOL!

Overall review:
Service: The receptionist is kind enough for us to visit the rooms only decide which room to select and stay. They only provide one key each room so that we do not waste electricity while we are not occupying the room, but can request for an extra key. The place is clean and neat, not bad. Air-con is a little slow in getting the room cool. Has an attached personal shower and toilet. The walls are kinda thin and we can hear neighboring rooms open and close the door, and some times hear their conversation because they are too loud! Overall for the price of RM130, I feel that it can offer better service, but since it is located in town area, therefore it's a give and take.
About toddler's experience in the room, since the phone is located at the side table, Jelly loves playing with it and I have to unplug it or else I need to pay for who-so-ever she called. Another issue is that the table below the TV is just nice for Jelly to ransack everything there and make a mess. Other than that others are OK. (5/10)

Price: Starting from RM130 onwards.

Notes:
~ No fridge, therefore not so convenient for pumping mothers to store milk.
~ Room has free WIFI but it's not working for me even after I had entered the correct password.
~ Limited car park in the building, extra car park is opposite of the building
~ In town area, nearby has a lot of eateries location like New World Park hawker center and more.
~ Personal attached bathrooms.
~ No safety deposit box.
~ Need to look closely at toddlers as stair case is easily accessible just opposite the lift.
