Do you keep refilling your kid's colored pencil as it keeps gone missing one by one? I have this problem too... Jelly often bring back colored pencils which are missing 1 or 2 pencils or she mistook some one else's to replace her missing pencils... That's why I saw this idea online and thought it can actually to help solve my problem, that is to create a lanyard to make sure all colored pencils are being together! It only have 2 outcome from this DIY, which is either the whole colored pencils gone missing or they are not! LOL!

I had been taking them for more than a month and every time if I skipped for 2 days or more, my milk supply will reduce very badly... Last time I only take Red Dates & Dried Longan and because it cause heat to the body, I often developed oral ulcers... OUCH! Then the Chinese herb shop asked me to add Polygonatum Odoratum (which is called Yu Zhu 玉竹 in Mandarin) and since then, I never developed ulcer and this ingredient also didn't impact on my milk supply...

DIY Lion Dance Head

It is still a long way to CNY but I have to share this post. Why i do it? because Jelly had been very obsessed with Lion Dance lately that she demanded I open links in YouTube on lion dance... In order to let her unleashed her passion in lion dance, I made this cute lion head with only a small carton box, small length of cloth, 2 pom poms and a few color papers. Just sharing this idea and it's up to individual's creativity to do it! You can also replace colored paper for the pompoms. There are tones of video on how to DIY your own pompoms by just using cardboard in Youtube...

DIY Play Dough / Plasticine / Playing Clay for Kids

Jelly is already 2 years and 5 months old but she still likes to put stuff in her mouth! I dare not buy those Plasticine or Play Dough as I am afraid she will put it in her mouth, which is dangerous or poisonous. This is when I decided to search for recipe to make our own Play Dough, in which I know what ingredients I in put in and it's safe if Jelly accidentally eats it on purpose (Yes, she likes to taste everything!).

DIY Breast Milk Mask

Since I had just started working, and Jelly is still breastfeeding, I need to pump at work. But Jelly is used to drinking fresh (direct latch) so she often refuse to drink expressed breast milk (maybe after a while it will have a smell since it's pure with no additives, LOL), therefore I will have a lot of ebm (expressed breast milk) left in the fridge. What to do with it? Since it's free, why not use it to wash face and apply as mask!

Easy Oven Baked Chicken Recipe

It was when I was scrolling on Instagram and saw some posting on chicken dish, and they look delicious! Downside on me with cooking is that I had a toddler so prepare time must be short else she will cling on me before I finish cooking. So I choose to oven bake instead. I manage to prepare the chicken and marinate in the morning and cook it during lunch time and served with rice. Another advantage of cooking using a conventional oven is that the oven does the cooking! This recipe in which I am going to share is also suitable for kids, and Jelly loves it. Recipe as below:

My MIL wanted to get some baking supplies and we visited a bakery supply shop nearby (Eazy Bake Baking Supplies) and I saw they also selling bubble rice! My DIY Overnight Oats with simple Recipe

Recently I kept seeing friends posting their version of overnight oats and they got me drooling. Before trying overnight oats, I wasn't an oat lover... I dislike their blandness and their sticky-mud like texture. Then I do some research (of course asking Mr Google) and found out that Overnight Oats required rolled oats instead of quick oat or instant oat! Actually all are the same oats, just the thickness of the oats and the time used to cook the oats makes them being called with rolled, quick and instant. I had add one more variety which is steel cut oats.

Sock doll are quite easy to make when you have the time. I had been in Pinterest and saw plenty of different sock doll which some required both side of the sock to make a doll. Some even suggest recycling a sock to make into a sock doll. I am kind of pantang (refrain) about giving my toddler a recycle sock to play with when her daddy has Hong Kong Feet, LOL!
