Ah Mah Traditional Homemade Egg Sponge Cake (阿嬷老字號) Review

Recently it's a hot trend in having Traditional Egg Sponge cake, almost everyone was craving about it. I was dining my lunch at Fresh Food Court today and I noticed they are selling these Egg Sponge Cake. Out of curiosity (of course only after I finish my meal), I approached the seller. They have 2 types of flavor, one is Original Flavor (priced at RM 13/box) and another is Cheese Flavor (priced at RM18/box).

As the name Ah Mah (means grandma in Chinese), I don't see any Grandma preparing the cake except for two young chap 😂 ... They even provide free samples to taste before purchase. I was sitting close enough  to see the guy flip the cake and using a ruler to measure and slice the huge cake evenly. 👀

Purchase 10 cake (either 1 flavor) to enjoy 1 free Original Flavor Cake
The seller claims the cake to have No added water, No preservatives, No Coloring, No Pork & No Lard

Review:
Taste: I only tasted the Original flavor one when purchasing, as it is a little overly moist compared to normal sponge cake. I bought the cheese flavor, it was also acceptable, being overly moist with a thin layer of cheese in between the sponge cake. The egg aroma unfortunately is not really fragrant, but still acceptable. Jelly loves the cheese more than the cake...  (6/10)
Service: 2 young chap operating the stall, one at front counter serving and slicing the cake, and another in charge of baking. The guy is friendly enough and smile while serving several customers at the same time. They even provide a redemption card to exchange for a free Original Flavor cake when you purchased 10 boxes of cake to gain 10 chops, but only within 2 months time (in my opinion, 10 cakes in 2 months is a little too much for self consumption, and might feel geli about it, but to purchase as gifts still maybe lar...). (8/10)
Notes:
~ Take away in a box, and they provide a plastic knife for easy consumption (to slice smaller pieces)
