Why Chinese believes that babies below age of 1 cannot wear shoes

Before this, I am reluctant to bring Jelly outside before because she couldn't wear shoe before she reach the age of   1

It is a old people chinese believes that babies haven't reach the age of 1 must not wear shoe. I tried google but still no answer. The closest logical answer is that because shoe's sole and cover were stiff and hard so it will prevent the growing of their feet and they need to "feel" the surface to balance themselves. Since they can't stand stable or walk yet, might as well don't waste money on shoes... lol!

Anyway, Jelly's lunar birthday is on 14 December, so my parents in law let her wear shoes now!

This is her first shoe we bought in Jusco Alma costing RM15 (the color faded a little that's why it is at reduced price). Yup its a size 4 and yes she has a big feet... LOL!

Here is my checklist on what to prepare while heading to the playground with a young toddler:
1) A set of spare clothes and diapers
2) Shoe
3) Water bottle
4) Handkerchief
5) Mosquito repellent sticker and lotion
6) Snacks

These are her photos while she was playing in the playground. The first 3 photos below is taken using my phone camera.
